Halo Water Proofing has been the Galien area's go-to call for Basement Waterproofing because we answer the phone, show up on time, and stand behind the work.
Halo Water Proofing is a licensed and insured Basement Waterproofing company built around one idea: show up when you say you will, explain the problem in plain language, and fix it so it stays fixed.
Every technician on our Galien crew is background-checked, factory-trained on the equipment we install, and held to the same estimate we quote you over the phone — no upsell surprises when the truck pulls up.
One call gets you a straight answer and a real appointment window — not a call-back promise.
📞 +1-866-476-1348Most Galien customers didn't wake up one day with a flooded basement. It usually started small. These are the early signs worth calling about.
If the basement smells damp even when it looks dry, moisture is likely moving through the walls or floor somewhere.
Stair-step cracks in block foundations are a common early warning sign we see across Galien-area homes.
It's easy to dismiss efflorescence as harmless dust, but it actually signals active moisture movement through the wall.
A pump under constant strain tends to fail at the worst possible time — usually during the next big Galien storm.
A bowing basement wall is a structural concern in addition to a water one — this is the kind of Galien call we prioritize fast.
These signs upstairs are often the last clue Galien homeowners notice, even though the moisture issue started in the basement months earlier.
Every Galien property is different — soil, slope, foundation age, water table depth. We size the fix to the actual problem, not a one-size package.
Storm season in Galien, MI means our emergency line gets busy fast — we triage calls by severity so active flooding at your Galien address jumps the queue ahead of routine inspections.
Call for Emergency Service →Freeze-thaw cycles in Galien, MI push existing cracks wider every winter, which is why we recommend sealing them before they become an active leak rather than after.
Get a Crack Assessment →Already have a sump pump that's failing or too small for your Galien lot? We'll test it, tell you honestly whether it needs replacing, and size the new one to your actual water volume — not the cheapest unit on the truck.
Schedule a Pump Inspection →Some Galien lots need both an interior and exterior system working together — we'll tell you honestly if that's the case rather than selling just one.
Ask About Drain Systems →Older Galien homes with vented crawl spaces are especially prone to seasonal moisture swings — encapsulation closes that off for good.
Get a Crawl Space Quote →Commercial properties in Galien carry bigger stakes when water gets in: inventory, tenants, downtime. We scope commercial jobs with the same crew leads who run our residential work, backed by written specs and timelines.
Request a Commercial Quote →No confusing steps, no hard sell — just the same process our Galien crews follow on every job.
We start with a phone conversation, not a script — enough to know whether this is an emergency dispatch or a scheduled inspection.
A technician inspects the Galien property in person, checking the foundation, drainage, grading, and any active moisture before recommending a fix.
You receive a written, itemized quote before any work begins — the number you approve is the number you're billed.
Our crew completes the work, cleans up the site, and walks you through the warranty coverage on what was installed.
We quote the job in writing after inspecting it in person, so what you agree to on the phone or at your door is what shows up on the final invoice.
Our trucks stage locally around Galien, which is why emergency calls typically get a technician on-site in under two hours, not "sometime tomorrow."
Our repairs come with written, transferable warranties — a real asset if you sell the Galien property later.
Our technicians are paid to diagnose correctly, not to upsell — that changes the advice you actually get on-site.
We can supply the photo documentation and repair scope most Galien, MI carriers ask for before approving a claim.
Word of mouth is still how most Galien customers find us, which keeps our standards higher than a big out-of-town franchise.
"They came out the same afternoon I called about water coming in during a storm. Explained everything before they touched anything. Basement's been bone dry since."
"Got quotes from three companies for a crack repair. These guys were the only ones who actually explained why the crack was happening instead of just quoting a price."
"Our old sump pump died during the worst storm of the year, obviously. They had a battery backup system installed within a day. Haven't worried about it since."
"Straightforward commercial quote, no back-and-forth, crew was professional the whole project."
"We had three foundation cracks and expected a huge bill. Turned out only one needed injection — they didn't try to sell us on the other two. That honesty is rare."
"Insurance claim was a headache until they stepped in with photos and a written scope. Adjuster approved it within a week after that."
